Julie Chen Moonves hosted the popular summer reality show Big Brother which returned to CBS for its 22nd Season on August 5. Chen Moonves had been the first of The Talk's hosts. She was moderating and hosting the talk show from 2010 until the year 2018. She was a writer prior to becoming a host, however her true desire was to write. In fact, it won her an Emmy. The fact that she hosted an amazing entertainment talk show won her an additional Emmy. Her experience in the news industry made her a natural for the switch from The Talk, which examines current events and topics through the eyes by five women hosts.Chen Moonves hosted the co-hosted version of CBS News' weekday morning broadcast The Early Show from 2002 through 2010. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter who has profiled stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was a reporter with WDTN TV Dayton which was based in Dayton, the state of Ohio (1995-1997). Prior to joining CBS News, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV dayton (1995-1997). In addition, she was employed by ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first broadcasting job was as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains among her journalistic heroes. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel were co-hosts on Anatomy of a Riot - an evening show on television which won the Columbia du-Pont award - which focused on what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
